What We Do

Long ago, the Seyoum family had connections to a school, not far away from Debre Sina.

During her visit to Ethiopia in January 2022, Senait decided to visit the school, but due to safety reasons she could not get access to it. Instead, she and her sister Mulu found the school in Debre Sina and decided to take actions to improve the situation for its children, around 400 ranging between 6 and 10 in age.

Our Mission

Even though the children look happy, their families were in many cases traumatized by the recent war. Debre Sina was as far as the TPLF-offensive reached late in 2021, when many observers believed it would shortly reach the capital city.

Civil infrastructure, including schools, had visible scars reminding people of horrific experiences. School children in Debre Sina felt unsafe by having to spend their time in classrooms full of bullet holes and cracked windows. Repairs had started, but due to lack of resources they were mainly of cosmetic, short-term nature. We want to change that.
